The school prefect system at Sedaven High is part of the school’s leadership training program. School prefects help the principal and staff to maintain discipline at assembly points, on the school grounds and generally as the need arises. A teacher is appointed to oversee and guide the prefects in how to fulfill their responsibilities and how to be good leaders in various circumstances.
School prefects are appointed from the grade 7 class in the beginning of each school year. The grade 7 class attends a leadership training camp and subsequent to that the staff appoint the prefects, taking note of the recommendations from the organisers of the camp.
